Commentary
Video 1: Luisa Cadena is prompted by Maria Cano to tell about sacha runa 'forest people'. In response, she relates a personal experience of walking through the forest with her father while he hunted. They were frightened by unrecognizable sounds which they interpreted to be forest spirit sounds. Cadena then describes how her father threw sticks and branches he found on the ground in whatever direction he heard the forest spirit sounds coming from.
